3 Premium Theme Contests

Tuesday 1 July is WPCandy’s Unofficial International WordPress Day, and to celebrate this day they are giving away 20 prizes, including several premium themes and developer’s licenses.

The Weblog Zone is running a contest with three premium themes up for grabs (Revolution Magazine, WPRemix and Solostream Bosco).

WPClub is giving away a copy of the sports theme EWPN by WPSorted, and all you need to do to enter this contest is leave a comment on the contest announcement post.

WordPress Designers

WordPress Designers are currently offering three magazine themes for purchase, with plans for more themes in the pipeline.

Each theme is gravatar-ready, integrates with Flickr, features ajax tooltips and a nifty image resize script for homepage thumbnails.

A single-use license for each theme costs $49, but they are also launching a developer’s club which provides a year’s access to all of their themes for $500 (they’re promising to release a new theme every month).

SimpleSite Theme

The SimpleSite Theme was created by R.Bhavesh of PremiumThemes.net. It’s a premium theme which could be used to display a portfolio, gallery or product catalogue. While this theme can be used as a content management interface, it can also run a blog.

SimpleSite provides an admin options page for selecting the colour scheme (3 are provided) sidebar position, page alignment, font sizing, feedburner and flickr IDs and more.

Images uploaded to posts are automatically added to the galleries on the home page and portfolio pages.

SimpleSite is widget-ready, and optimised for Search Engines.

Cloudscape Theme

The Cloudscape Theme was developed by Eric of Jerico Systems. Its gallery homepage layout makes it ideal for artists, photographers and web design galleries.

The 820px x 500px images are managed by using custom fields. A matching user login/registration window is also provided with the theme, which is a nice touch.

Eric also uses a modified version of the Cloudscape theme to run the Video Shack.
