The innovative PhotoPressPro theme is designed to provide a showcase and blog for professional photographers.

PhotoPressPro provides several impressive tools and widgets to enable you to quickly and easily tweak the appearance of the theme without any html or php knowledge.

The theme provides a single-column 1024px-wide view, accommodating images of up to 936 pixels wide, equivalent to a 10″ x 13″ image with landscape orientation.

Control Panel Features

Masthead: Choose the option of using the FlashFader plugin to show an image slideshow in the header, or use a static header image, which may be uploaded and cropped from the Header Image page.

Navigation Menu Bar: change the alignment and item separators, font style, text color and drop-down background for the header menu items.

Colors: Change the colors used for the theme’s main background; content background, text and links; header text; footer text, links and link background mouseovers. Changing colors is easily done by either using the provided color picker (which appears when clicking on the color changer box) or by entering a 6-digit hex code.

Texts and Fonts: Select a font family and size for the header, main content area and footer text.

Images: Upload and preview your bio and background images, and adjust the background image alignment.

Post Images: Select your default post image alignment, and border attributes.

Post breaks: Upload an image or use a horizontal line between posts.

Copy Protection: Disable right-clicking to prevent copying of your images.

Snapshots

The Snapshots feature is something I haven’t seen before in any theme. You can save a “snapshot” of your custom design settings, then retrieve it whenever you like. Multiple snapshots may be stored, and may be easily recalled for active use, editing, or deletion. So if you like to change your site’s appearance on a regular basis, you can indulge your desire quickly and easily.

Widgets

PhotoPressPro contains three widgetized areas: the header menu, plus the left and right areas of the footer. Four custom widgets are provided for individual links, categories, page listing and the menu bar search. Some of the default widgets have also been tweaked to complement the theme.

In conclusion, it’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into the creation of the PhotoPressPro theme. It’s really easy to use, looks great and has a lot of potential. In fact, I would love to see the appearance editing options and snapshots feature in a standard blog or magazine theme.
