Tubular is a video / blog theme with a dark wooden background. While the homepage displays featured posts, the blog page will show normal blog posts with gravatars and threaded comments.

The Station is a business / CMS theme designed by Adii of WooThemes. The theme was inspired by the design of the stylish EllisLab product sites, such as Expression Engine.
The homepage has a featured content tabber which could be used to emphasize services, products or various aspects of the business. In addition, the homepage is managed via customizable navigation spaces. The inclusion of WordPress page content on the homepage is something I haven’t come across before, and is an innovative way to make use of WordPress’ native (and user-friendly) functionality.

Cherry Truffle is a gorgeous theme from Elegant Themes, which makes use of attractive jQuery effects and textured graphics. It would be ideal for a personal blog, or perhaps a creative business blog.
Cherry Truffle’s header provides two drop-down menus (one with a lovely textured graphic and jQuery pull-down effect), plus a series of social networking icons in the header linking to the site’s feed, facebook, twitter and other resources.
You may select an excerpted view of blog posts, or a full traditional blog view via the Theme Options page, which also facilitates the management of advertising, the theme’s colour scheme, etc. I also liked the cool bounce mouseover effect used on the sidebar links.

The popular Video Flick theme by Press75 has been updated for WordPress v2.7. The new homepage format displays video and standard blog posts with ease.
Adding videos and thumbnails to this theme is really easy with Video Flick’s post options box which appears in the Write Post page. This facility will upload and resize an image to the required size, and will also allow you to include video content (from popular sites like Vimeo, YouTube, MetaCafe, Revver, Google Video, Seesmic) with just the video’s url. You may also specify your preferred video size if required. It’s much easier than fussing with embed codes and really intuitive.

The Agent theme by StudioPress caters for Estate Agents who need to publicise their business online. The theme’s homepage displays a slideshow of featured posts, as well as excerpts and thumbnails of a selection of properties.
The property listing layout features a large image of the property, a property details section, and an image gallery enhanced by a jQuery lightbox.

The Marketplace Theme provides an easy way to run a classifieds website. The theme has a pleasant white, blue and grey colour scheme which appears easy to customise.
The theme provides easy navigation with the top page links menu and login / registration area in the header; category links in the homepage, category pages and individual listing pages; and the featured classifieds slideshow.
The item listing template provides a contact form for emailing the item’s seller, multiple item images below the item description, a link to a printer-friendly view, and the option of emailing the listing to a friend.
The add item form provides a fantastic ajax image uploader, which can handle multiple images.

Cepheus by Theme Galaxy is an elegant business theme for showcasing a product or service. The theme’s design focuses on typography and whitespace to present your content effectively.
The theme’s homepage content is split between an introduction area, and a large fading image slideshow, followed by news and reviews columns.
A separate tour page provides a large sliding area for showcasing important aspects of your product or service.

The WPReview Engine is a plugin which converts any WordPress theme into an affiliate review site. The plugin makes it easy to provide information on a range of product providers (e.g. car insurers), with an optional thumbnail image and a button linking out to the provider’s site. You can also provide your own rating of each product, with your chosen custom fields to emphasize industry-specific features.
Those custom fields may also be used within a Comparison Table displayed on the homepage and/or category pages.
Visitors may also provide reviews of the products with star ratings.
Two example themes are provided, but the plugin can be used with any theme; automatic embedding of the star ratings, comparison tables and other items may be activated easily within the plugin’s management page.
