Zenko Magazine

Zenko Magazine is the second theme released by WPZoom. It’s a colourful magazine / news portal theme with an easily-modified layout.

The homepage content is divided up into three main columns, headed by a Featured Content Section, followed by multiple category post areas, and a 4-column widgetized footer.

The theme provides custom widgets for Popular Posts, Recent News, Recent Comments, and doesn’t require the installation of any external plugins.

There’s a nice attention to typography, with some use of serif fonts for larger headings, and san-serif fonts for the smaller text areas.

eBusiness is a gorgeous and highly-functional theme by Elegant Themes which can be used as a CMS and/or blog theme. Its comprehensive theme options page manages just about every aspect of the theme’s layout and functionality, ranging from the homepage setup to advertising management.

No assumption is made about your preferences, so you can easily exclude and include the elements required for your site.

Although many themes now include automatic thumbnail resizing, eBusiness goes one step beyond that by giving a choice of image quality, or omitting thumbnails entirely if preferred.

Lyra

Lyra is a playful personal theme by Theme Galaxy, which makes use of cute hand-drawn graphics and pastel colours. The homepage provides areas for featured blog posts, an about section, a tab section, plus flickr and twitter sections.

The styling is kept consistent throughout, with stylised bullet points, bold use of typography and a comment form with hand-written labels. A choice of 4 header images is available, and the facility to rotate between these images is provided too.

Prolific theme foundry iThemes has released a new All-Access Pass. This package is an economic way to gain access to every active theme in their inventory on a developer / multiple-use license. For about $20 per theme you’ll receive a year of access to the membership site, with support and theme updates. An additional bonus is the Billboard Advertising plugin which enables easy uploading of banner images for inclusion in any widgetized area.
