Wellblog is the latest theme from Colorlabs Project, a gorgeous blog theme designed for food and recipe blogs (but fine for use with any other subject).

Wellblog provides an eye-catching lava-lamp menu above a two-column layout of blog post excerpts and thumbnail images. The theme also makes use of several cute icons for drawing attention to sidebar elements and the flickr, youtube and Twitter integrations in the footer.

The theme options page allows management of banner and Adsense ads in the sidebar and header and easy selection of the video post category, theme skin, header logo and site favicon.

Five attractive theme skins are provided: Black Ultimate, Sunburst Orange, Graphite Gray, Purple Crown and Dusky Brown. The first three skins are also available in right-sidebar variants.

TypeMagz Theme by Colorlabs Project

TypeMagz is an eye-catching blog portal theme from Colorlabs Project, who have kindly given me the opportunity to try out the theme for this review.

Typemagz has a professional news / magazine appearance; its black background and white text (with red headlines) gives it a very striking look. The gray welcome and subscription boxes complement the main content in a visually pleasing way.

Up to three large header images may be displayed, which rotate on page refresh – or by clicking the refresh button on the header itself (this button elegantly changes the image without refreshing the whole page).

Attention to typographic impact is demonstrated in the use of Cufon font embedding for the headings, which are shown in a range of sizes on the homepage and single post pages.

The homepage is divided into three main columns, with one wide content column (subdivided into three parts) and two sidebars. Below the red featured article section, the content column provides excerpts of recent articles next to an integrated Twitter section.

As well as the integration with the Twitter Tools plugin, Typemagz also works with Flickr-RSS, Get Recents Comments and Popularity Contest, which are all included with the theme. Once you’ve uploaded the theme and plugins, it’s time to visit the Theme Options page.

The control panel facilitates integration with flickr, YouTube, Google Analytics and Feedburner, as well as the management of banner ads (or Google Adsense ads). In addition, there are options for selecting the categories for the featured post and featured video, plus the header images, logo and favicon images.

With all of these features, Typemagz is definitely a top-quality theme for running any professional news or magazine website.

Colorlabs Project is an innovative collective which provides an exciting range of premium WordPress themes for a wide range of purposes. In addition to the popular Arthemia Premium and Platformate premium magazine themes, they have also released Archieplus, a professional CMS theme.

Archieplus is ideal for organisations and businesses. It is provided in three attractive styles: Emerald Blue, Graphite Gray and Silky Silver.

A readme file provides easy instructions on how to setup the theme. Archieplus is provided with 3 integrated plugins: Twitter Tools, WP-Pagenavi and WP-Sifr, which are uploaded into your WordPress plugin folder.

The accordion sidebar automatically displays all of your categories and archives, as well as any widgets of your choice and your adverts.

Overall, Archieplus is an easy to use theme which will provide an attractive and professional website / blog for any small business or organisation.
