Feature Pitch by WooThemes was designed to help you make money online. The large header section on the homepage introduces the product or service, then the central section provides a space to push its unique selling points with images and information managed via static WordPress pages. It’s an elegant and effective layout, similar to the structure used on Apple’s product pages.

Visual is a gorgeous news / magazine theme for news portals, subject-related blogs or even prolific personal blogs.
The theme gives a feeling of spaciousness while providing a great deal of content.
My favourite features are the article carousel which appears on the homepage, archives and single pages, plus the tab-based separation of content and comments in the single posts.

Restaurant is an attractive cms theme aimed at restaurateurs. Its homepage provides a sliding featured area for drawing attention to promotions, etc. Industry-specific features such as daily specials, menu items and opening hours are also catered for on the homepage.
As well as the matching blog theme, Restaurant comes with a menu template which displays all of the menu items with pricing and a thumbnail preview.

WooThemes’ most popular theme to date, Fresh News, has been updated with their new and improved theme framework. WP-Prolific is an attractive magazine theme by Solostream. Aside from the elegant featured article glider, my favourite aspect of this theme is the subscription box in the sidebar, which encourages email and rss signups, and links out to your social networking profiles.

WP Quick Polls is a plugin which will transform your WordPress site into a money-making affiliate poll site. Poll-style landing pages are a well-known sales method, and WP Quick Polls makes it very easy to create dozens of profitable polls for a variety of products.
I was provided with a copy of the plugin to try out. In addition to the plugin itself, you are provided with a 13-page pdf manual which gives information on installing the plugin, creating campaigns and polls, theme creation, advanced usage and tips on attracting traffic to your polls.
As advised in the documentation, I installed the plugin on a new WordPress installation. A new Q.Polls tab section showed up under the Settings tab.
The Quick Create page allows you to quickly create new campaigns and polls which are then inserted into a new draft post ready for publishing. Once you’ve done some experimentation and established your optimal defaults in the Settings page, using the Quick Create facility would help you to generate lots of polls quickly and easily for maximum profit.
Campaigns contain one or more polls which share a common outcome. The New/Edit Campaign page provides space for an unlimited list of urls or code blocks which are rotated for each poll allocated to that campaign. The plugin authors also provide some handy links to their recommended affiliate networks in case you want some new products to promote.
The New/Edit Poll page has numerous options for tweaking your polls as required. You can choose a theme, with a small preview of the available choices. Three themes are already provided in 12 options, and you can also opt to embed the poll in the main blog theme. You may also provide an image url for the poll, which you may position under and/or above the option buttons.
Option values can be provided as text buttons, or images. Alternative links for each option may be provided to override the default links listed for the campaign.
Text instructions can be edited as appropriate. Auto-generated content from a variety of sources based on your specified keywords is provided below the page fold to increase search engine optimization while going unseen by poll participants.
The appearance of options themselves may be tweaked, though a safer choice is to allow the plugin to choose the most appropriate theme for options. The poll management page also provides sections for inserting tracking code in the header and/or the footer of each poll.
In addition to default settings for new polls, the Settings page also has the option to auto-create About, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy pages and to add those links to the polls in order to increase search engine quality scores for the site.
Last but not least, the plugin includes an integrated image resizer to resize the images used in polls (it can also be used from other sites too). If selected in the Settings, the plugin will save images to a cache to avoid hotlinking issues if linking to an image on another site.
My overall impression of the plugin is that it provides a really easy way to generate affiliate polls, and gives you everything you need to get going with this money-making method. The plugin’s author provides lots of tips in the documentation and within the setup pages themselves to help you to optimize your polls as much as possible. All that remains to do is research your subjects, experiment with poll ideas, work on attracting traffic to your site then wait for the money to start rolling in.
